Electro queen Luciana is certainly no stranger to working with the biggest names on the dance scene. But five years ago, her friend forced her to introduce herself to global superstar DJ Tiesto because she was too nervous to say hello.
When Luciana finally plucked up the courage to begin a conversation with the Dutch producer, using her iPhone notepad as a communicative crutch, her previously stored messages made the ice-breaker a potential verbal dead zone.
Thankfully, this rather awkward greeting was the start of something great – a brilliantly hooky collaboration called ‘We Own The Night’.
After working with other production giants such as Hardwell, Dave Aude and 3LAU – to name a few – Luciana is back with a new joint effort alongside young producer Tom Budin. The result of their work is a brilliant new single, ‘X With U’.I spoke to Luciana in her home in L.A. via the wonders of Skype, to chat about her new music and hear the full Tiesto story!
